Secrets for the Mad by Dodie Review

I know it has been months since I have written on this blog, but hey new year new me. I am going to continue writing my book reviews. To start off the year, I finished Dodie Clark's new book "Secrets for the Mad" and it was wonderful. I really enjoyed it and read through it pretty quickly because I enjoyed it so much.
"Secrets for the Mad" by Dodie Clark is a collection of short stories, song lyrics, life lessons, and illustrations. It is broken into three section obsessions confessions, and life lessons. Section one, obsessions, Dodie goes into great detail about her mental health issues and how she deals with this. In confessions, Dodie reveals past loves and heartbreaks. Lastly, the life lessons section has different stories about Dodie's childhood, recipes, and different how-to sections.
I was gifted "Secrets for the Mad" for Christmas and immediately  started reading. This book is such an easy read, Dodie's writing style is so beautiful and you get lost in it. My favorite section was definitely life lessons. I did enjoy the other sections, but they were very heavy. I had to put the book down a couple times during very sad parts. But, life lessons was more light-hearted with the recipes and how to have sex guide. I would recommend this book to people who follow Dodie's YouTube channel and to people who just enjoy true life stories. Anyone can enjoy.
